This role is for someone who takes pride in quality workmanship, communicates clearly, and can work efficiently in a busy shop environment. We want a technician who can diagnose, repair, and maintain a wide range of vehicles while being part of a professional team that values integrity and customer trust.

What You’ll Do

As an Automotive Technician at Centerway Auto Repair, you may be responsible for:


Diagnosing mechanical, electrical, and drivability issues on domestic and import vehicles
Performing routine maintenance, including oil changes, fluid services, tire rotations, filters, belts, hoses, and inspections
Repairing and replacing brakes, suspension components, steering parts, exhaust systems, starters, alternators, batteries, and related systems
Using diagnostic tools and shop equipment to identify problems accurately
Completing repairs according to shop standards and manufacturer guidelines
Documenting work performed, recommended repairs, and parts needed
Communicating with service advisors or shop management about repair findings
Maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work area
Test-driving vehicles when needed to confirm concerns and verify repairs
Following shop safety procedures and proper equipment use


What We Are Looking For

Qualified Automotive Technician candidates should have:


Previous experience as an automotive technician, mechanic, or service technician
Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
Ability to work on a variety of makes and models
Familiarity with scan tools, diagnostic equipment, lifts, tire machines, and standard shop tools
Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
Own basic tools
ASE certifications preferred, but not required
Ability to lift, bend, stand, and work in a physically active shop environment
Strong attention to detail
Commitment to doing the job right
